About Baltimore Visitor Center

The new Baltimore Visitor Center opened in May at the Inner Harbor, an inlet of the Patapsco River off of the Chesapeake Bay. As a starting point for visitors, the center is the perfect way to discover and explore areas of the region's sites, history, events, accommodations, maritime activities, attractions and restaurants. Trained information specialists provide interpretive materials and information as well as sell tickets to area Gateway sites. Attractions brochures and thematic displays assist in interpreting all the activities available in and around Baltimore. The “Baltimore Experience” film takes visitors on an exciting tour around Baltimore and state of Maryland.

Baltimore Visitor Center
7/6/2009
I was born and raise in Baltimore, so I never thought that I would need to stop by the Baltimore Visitor Center, but I did stop in with some friends from out of town one day. If you are new to Baltimore, or to the Inner Harbor area, this should be your first stop. There are tons of brochures on everything you can think of in Baltimore, and you can also make dinner reservations and purchase tickets for attractions here too. I even learned a thing or two about some nice neighborhoods in the Baltimore area that I have never visited, and want to check out.
